USS Enterprise (CVAN-65) 1969 Combat Cruise Varsity Jacket

USS Enterprise (CVAN-65) was the world's first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, commissioned in 1961. Known as the Big E, she served for over 51 years before her decommissioning in 2017.

This heavyweight letterman jacket commemorates Enterprise's 1969 Vietnam combat deployment — sustaining Yankee Station operations in the South China Sea during the early days of Vietnamization. The Big E and her embarked air wing continued the fight through combat operations over North and South Vietnam and throughout the Western Pacific.
