USS Hancock (CVA-19) deployed to the Western Pacific in 1964-65, arriving at the beginning of the United States' deepening commitment to the Vietnam War. An Essex-class carrier with roots stretching back to World War II, Hancock flew combat sorties over North and South Vietnam as her air wing joined the early campaigns of a conflict that would define a generation. This sweatshirt commemorates the 1964-65 WESTPAC/Vietnam cruise and honors the crew who served.
