USS Houston (SSN-713) is a Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarine commissioned on September 25, 1982. Named for Houston, Texas — the fourth ship to bear that name — she served the Navy with distinction through Cold War patrols and beyond, operating across the Pacific with the silent professionalism that defines the submarine force. She was decommissioned on November 4, 2016 after 34 years of service.
