How to measure: lay a shirt that fits you well on a flat surface. Measure across the chest from armpit to armpit (chest width) and from the highest point of the shoulder to the bottom hem (length), then compare to the chart.

The USS Intrepid (CVS-11) ship's crest rides on the left chest, with a bold Shellback emblem across the back — Neptune's trident, a globe marked at the equator, a fouled anchor, and the breaking sea beneath the proud title SHELLBACK.
When a Navy ship crosses the equator, her crew earns one of the sea service's oldest honors — passing from slimy Pollywog to trusty Shellback in the Domain of Neptunus Rex. Commissioned in 1943, USS Intrepid carried her crews across the world's oceans, from the Pacific campaigns of World War II to Cold War and Vietnam-era service and the recovery of Mercury and Gemini space capsules. This shirt honors the Shellbacks of the Fighting 'I' and every sailor who has crossed the line.
