USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63) 2002 Cruise Sweatshirt

<p>USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63) was a Kitty Hawk-class supercarrier commissioned on April 29, 1961. Her 2002 deployment from Naval Station Yokosuka, Japan, came in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks, as the U.S. Navy maintained sustained combat operations in the Arabian Sea in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. Operating with Carrier Air Wing Five, Kitty Hawk conducted flight operations and stood ready for contingency response across the Western Pacific and Indian Ocean. This sweatshirt commemorates the crew who served aboard her during the 2002 cruise.</p>
