USS Kitty Hawk (CVA-63) 1967-68 Cruise Sweatshirt

<p>USS Kitty Hawk (CVA-63) was a Kitty Hawk-class attack carrier commissioned on April 29, 1961. Her 1967–68 Western Pacific deployment was one of the most intense of the Vietnam War, as she flew combat missions from Yankee Station in the Gulf of Tonkin with Carrier Air Wing Eleven. The conflict was at its deadliest, and Kitty Hawk's aircrew endured some of the most demanding conditions in naval aviation history. Homeported at Naval Air Station North Island, San Diego, she was deeply committed to the fight. This sweatshirt honors the crew who served during that challenging deployment.</p>
