USS Lake Champlain (CG-57) is a Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruiser commissioned on August 12, 1988, and named for the Battle of Lake Champlain — the pivotal 1814 naval engagement in which American forces under Master Commandant Thomas Macdonough defeated a British fleet, securing the northern frontier during the War of 1812. Homeported at San Diego, California, Lake Champlain deployed to the Western Pacific and Indian Ocean in 1989–90, her early years coinciding with the final period of the Cold War. Armed with the Aegis Combat System, she operated as a cornerstone of carrier battle group defense during this critical period in naval history.
Commemorate the 1989–90 deployment with this premium pullover sweatshirt — a meaningful keepsake for everyone who served aboard CG-57 during her early WESTPAC service.
