USS Lake Erie (CG-70) is a Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruiser commissioned on July 24, 1993, and homeported in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. She is named in honor of the Battle of Lake Erie, Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry's decisive victory over the British during the War of 1812. Lake Erie has earned distinction as a leader in ballistic missile defense, including her historic 2008 intercept of a malfunctioning U.S. satellite in Operation Burnt Frost. This product commemorates her 2007 WESTPAC deployment, during which Lake Erie deployed to the Western Pacific conducting maritime security and theater ballistic missile defense missions. Wear it with pride to honor the officers and crew who served aboard CG-70 that year.
