USS LASALLE (AGF-3) Custom Cruise Sweatshirt

USS LaSalle (AGF-3) was a command ship that served as the flagship for Commander, U.S. Middle East Force, operating in the Persian Gulf for much of her career. Originally laid down as an Austin-class amphibious transport dock (LPD-3), she was converted to a command and flagship vessel (AGF-3) and became known throughout the region as the "Great White Ghost of the Arabian Coast" — a nickname earned from her distinctive white hull at a time when most Navy ships were painted haze gray. LaSalle served as the centerpiece of American naval presence in the Gulf from the 1970s until her decommissioning in 2002.
