USS Lexington (CVS-16) Ship's Crest Sweatshirt

USS Lexington (CV-16/CVS-16) was an Essex-class aircraft carrier that served the United States Navy from her commissioning in 1943 through decommissioning in 1991. Nicknamed the "Blue Ghost" by Japanese forces who repeatedly reported her sunk during World War II, she survived the war to serve through both the Korean and Cold War eras. One of the longest-serving carriers in U.S. Navy history, she trained over 100,000 carrier aviators before her retirement.
