USS McClusky (FFG-41) was an Oliver Hazard Perry-class guided-missile frigate commissioned on 10 December 1983 at Bath, Maine. Named for Lieutenant Commander Clarence Wade McClusky Jr., who led the decisive dive-bomber attack at the Battle of Midway in June 1942 — his bold decision to extend the search for the Japanese fleet resulted in the sinking of three enemy carriers and turned the tide of the Pacific War.
