USS Midway (CV-41) was one of the most storied aircraft carriers in U.S. Navy history, commissioned in 1945 and continuously modernized through four decades of service. She served as the Navy's forward-deployed carrier homeported in Yokosuka, Japan from 1973 to 1991.
