USS Mobile Bay (CG-53) 1989 Deployment Sweatshirt

USS Mobile Bay (CG-53) is a Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser commissioned on February 21, 1987. Named for the Civil War Battle of Mobile Bay, where Admiral Farragut famously ordered his fleet forward, she brought that same determined spirit to her 1989 deployment. Homeported at San Diego, Mobile Bay deployed to the Western Pacific and Indian Ocean during this early cruise, establishing her reputation as a capable fleet escort.
