USS Nassau (LHA-4) 1987-88 Cruise Sweatshirt

USS Nassau (LHA-4) is a Tarawa-class amphibious assault ship commissioned on July 28, 1979. Named for the first amphibious landing by Continental Marines at Nassau, Bahamas in March 1776, she carried on that legacy with deployments across the Atlantic and Mediterranean. During her 1987-88 cruise, Nassau deployed with an amphibious ready group conducting presence operations and exercises in the Mediterranean. A great keepsake for Marines and sailors who made that deployment.
