USS Nassau (LHA-4) 1990-91 Cruise Sweatshirt

USS Nassau (LHA-4) deployed during 1990-91 as part of the buildup for Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. As a Tarawa-class amphibious assault ship, Nassau was a key asset in the amphibious ready group prepared for a possible beach assault against Iraqi forces in Kuwait. She and her embarked Marine expeditionary unit stood ready as the coalition executed the liberation of Kuwait. This sweatshirt honors the Marines and sailors who were part of that historic deployment.
