USS Norfolk (SSN-714) is a Los Angeles-class fast attack submarine commissioned on May 21, 1994, at Norfolk, Virginia. An improved 688-class boat, she is equipped with advanced sonar systems and capable of launching Tomahawk cruise missiles and mines from her torpedo tubes. Norfolk is home-ported at Naval Station Norfolk, the world's largest naval installation and the city for which she was named.
