USS O'Kane (DDG-77) is an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer commissioned on October 23, 1999, at Bath, Maine. Named for Rear Admiral Richard H. O'Kane, Medal of Honor recipient and the most decorated submarine commander of World War II, who sank 31 enemy ships while commanding USS Tang (SS-306). O'Kane is home-ported in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii — an appropriate home for a ship bearing the name of a man who fought his most storied battles in Pacific waters.
