USS Philippine Sea (CG-58) 2003-04 Unisex Sweatshirt

USS Philippine Sea (CG-58) is a Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser commissioned on March 18, 1989, and homeported in Mayport, Florida. Named in honor of the June 1944 Battle of the Philippine Sea, she is armed with the Aegis Combat System and Tomahawk cruise missiles. During the 2003-04 deployment commemorated by this sweatshirt, Philippine Sea deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, conducting combat operations in the Persian Gulf region. The crew participated in strike operations as coalition forces carried out the ground and air campaign in Iraq. This sweatshirt honors those who served during that combat deployment.
