USS Pittsburgh (SSN-720) Ship's Crest Sweatshirt

USS Pittsburgh (SSN-720) is a Los Angeles-class fast attack submarine commissioned on November 23, 1985, and homeported in Groton, Connecticut. Named for the city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she earned distinction during Operation Desert Storm in 1991 by firing Tomahawk cruise missiles against targets in Iraq — one of the first submarines to conduct such strikes in combat. Throughout her career, Pittsburgh conducted intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions alongside traditional fast attack submarine operations before her decommissioning in 2015.
