USS Ross (DDG-71) 1999 MAIDEN DEPLOYMENT Unisex Sweatshirt

USS Ross (DDG-71) conducted her maiden deployment in 1999 following her commissioning on June 28, 1997. Named for Chief Machinist's Mate Donald K. Ross, a Medal of Honor recipient who heroically maintained Pearl Harbor's power plant under enemy fire on December 7, 1941, the ship carries forward a legacy of extraordinary valor in the face of adversity. Forward deployed to Naval Station Rota, Spain, Ross sailed in support of NATO and 6th Fleet operations in the Mediterranean and Adriatic during that inaugural cruise. This sweatshirt commemorates the Sailors of DDG-71 who served during her maiden deployment.
