USS Samuel Gompers (AD-37) Ship's Crest Sweatshirt

USS Samuel Gompers (AD-37) was a destroyer tender commissioned on July 1, 1967, and the lead ship of her class. Named for labor leader Samuel Gompers, founder of the American Federation of Labor, the ship served as a floating repair facility and logistics hub for destroyer squadrons and other combatants. Homeported in San Diego, California, Gompers provided maintenance, parts, and technical support that kept fleet units operational across the Pacific.
