USS San Antonio (LPD-17) Ship's Crest Sweatshirt

USS San Antonio (LPD-17) is an amphibious transport dock and the lead ship of her class, commissioned on January 14, 2006. Named for San Antonio, Texas, LPD-17 represents a new generation of amphibious warships designed to project Marine Corps power ashore with greater flexibility and lethality than her predecessors. San Antonio can embark up to 800 Marines and their equipment, deploying them via landing craft, air cushion vehicles, and helicopters. Homeported at Naval Station Norfolk, she serves as the centerpiece of amphibious ready groups supporting operations across the Atlantic and Mediterranean.
