USS Saratoga (CV-60) Desert Storm Sweatshirt

The USS Saratoga (CV-60) was a Forrestal-class aircraft carrier commissioned on April 14, 1956. Deployed to the Red Sea for Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, she brought Carrier Air Wing Seventeen into combat on January 17, 1991 — the opening night of the coalition air war against Iraq. For 43 days her pilots flew strikes deep into Iraq and Kuwait, targeting air defenses, command centers, armored formations, and logistics nodes. Saratoga's contribution to the air campaign was essential to the swift liberation of Kuwait and the crushing of Iraqi forces.
