USS Shoup (DDG-86) is an Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer commissioned on June 22, 2002, and homeported in Everett, Washington. She is named for General David M. Shoup, who earned the Medal of Honor for his heroic leadership at the Battle of Tarawa in 1943 and later served as the 22nd Commandant of the Marine Corps. Equipped with the Aegis combat system and a full suite of anti-air, anti-surface, and land-attack weapons, she is a versatile and lethal warship. This sweatshirt bears her official ship's crest.
