USS Simpson (FFG-56) Ship's Crest Sweatshirt

USS Simpson (FFG-56) was an Oliver Hazard Perry-class guided missile frigate commissioned on May 9, 1985. She served in the Atlantic Fleet and earned a prominent place in naval history during Operation Praying Mantis on April 18, 1988, when she engaged Iranian naval forces in the Persian Gulf. She also deployed in support of Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm in 1990-91. After thirty years of service, she was decommissioned in 2015. This sweatshirt bears her official ship's crest.
