USS Stephen W. Groves (FFG-29) Ship's Crest Sweatshirt

USS Stephen W. Groves (FFG-29) was an Oliver Hazard Perry-class guided-missile frigate commissioned on 17 April 1982 and decommissioned on 31 January 2013. She was named in honor of First Lieutenant Stephen W. Groves, USMC, killed in action in Vietnam on 24 March 1966. Over her 31-year career, Groves conducted counter-narcotics patrols in the Caribbean, participated in Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm, and deployed across the Atlantic. This sweatshirt bears the official ship's crest in tribute to all who served aboard this Atlantic Fleet frigate.
