USS Thach (FFG-43) Ship's Crest Sweatshirt

USS Thach (FFG-43) was an Oliver Hazard Perry-class guided-missile frigate commissioned on 17 March 1984 and decommissioned on 30 September 2004. She was named in honor of Admiral John S. "Jimmie" Thach, the brilliant World War II naval aviator who developed the "Thach Weave" fighter tactic that helped defeat the Japanese Zero. Homeported in San Diego, California, Thach completed deployments to the Western Pacific and Persian Gulf throughout her 20-year career.
