An Oliver Hazard Perry-class guided-missile frigate commissioned on January 29, 1983, Underwood was homeported in Mayport, Florida. The ship was named in honor of Rear Admiral Gordon Underwood, a World War II naval officer who distinguished himself in surface warfare operations. Throughout her service life, Underwood conducted anti-submarine warfare, surface warfare, and escort missions, deploying to the Mediterranean and Atlantic in support of U.S. fleet operations. She was decommissioned on April 30, 2010. This sweatshirt features the ship's official crest.
