HSM-71 Raptors

The Raptors of HSM-71 fly the MH-60R Seahawk from NAS North Island and Pacific Fleet carrier decks, hunting submarines and surface threats in one of the most technically demanding missions in naval aviation. Their multi-static sonar systems and acoustic processing equipment let them prosecute contacts that nothing else in the battle group can reach—and when the time comes, their torpedoes finish the job. The Raptors have deployed across the Pacific and Indian Oceans in support of every major West Coast carrier.
