HSM-74 Swamp Foxes

Named for General Francis Marion—the Revolutionary War partisan whose guerrilla campaign in the Carolina swamps earned him a legendary reputation for initiative and adaptability—the Swamp Foxes of HSM-74 fly the MH-60R Seahawk from NAS Jacksonville and Atlantic Fleet carrier decks. They hunt submarines, prosecute surface contacts, and support special operations with the same resourcefulness their namesake brought to the swamps of South Carolina. The name is a badge of honor, and they have earned it.
