USS Albany

Commissioned in 1990, the Albany is an improved 688i Los Angeles-class nuclear attack submarine named for New York's capital city on the Hudson River. An improved variant with under-ice capability and vertical launch tubes for Tomahawk missiles, the Albany served the Atlantic Fleet through the 1990s and 2000s before her decommissioning in 2018.
