USS Albuquerque

Commissioned in 1983, the Albuquerque is a Los Angeles-class nuclear attack submarine named for New Mexico's largest city—a community deeply connected to national defense through Kirtland Air Force Base, Sandia National Laboratories, and the nuclear research that defined the Cold War. She served the Pacific Fleet through three decades of undersea operations before her decommissioning in 2008.
