USS Chancellorsville

The Chancellorsville, commissioned in 1989, is a Ticonderoga-class cruiser homeported in Yokosuka, Japan as part of the forward-deployed naval forces. In the Western Pacific she provides the AEGIS air defense umbrella that protects the carrier and the entire strike group from aerial threats. Her crew has deployed in some of the most demanding environments in the Pacific, standing the watch through tensions in the South China Sea and the Sea of Japan, year after year.
