USS Cheyenne crest
Commissioned in 1996, the Cheyenne is an improved 688i Los Angeles-class nuclear attack submarine named for Wyoming's capital city. One of the last Los Angeles-class boats built, she carries vertical launch tubes and full under-ice capability—among the most capable of the class. The Cheyenne has served the Pacific Fleet since commissioning and remains one of the longest-running boats in the class still on active duty.
