USS Crommelin

Commissioned in 1983, the Crommelin honors the Crommelin family—five brothers who all served as Navy aviators, four of them simultaneously during World War II. John, Charles, Richard, Henry, and Quentin Crommelin represent one of the most extraordinary naval families in American history, their combined service spanning decades of American sea power. The Crommelin was decommissioned in 2009 after 26 years of service.
