USS Green Bay

The Green Bay, commissioned in 2009 and homeported in Sasebo, Japan, served as the forward-deployed amphibious transport dock in the Western Pacific. As part of the forward-deployed naval forces, she was always on the edge of the action—responding to natural disasters, conducting exercises with allies across the Indo-Pacific, and standing ready for crisis response. Her crew lived the challenge of being forward-deployed and met it with distinction every day.
