USS Hampton

Commissioned in 1993, the Hampton is an improved 688i Los Angeles-class nuclear attack submarine named for the Virginia city at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay—home of Langley Air Force Base and a community with deep connections to the earliest days of American aviation and naval history. She has served the Pacific Fleet across three decades of undersea operations.
