USS Jacksonville

Commissioned in 1981, the Jacksonville is a Los Angeles-class nuclear attack submarine named for Florida's largest city—a major Navy town home to Naval Air Station Jacksonville and one of the largest military communities in the Southeast. She served the Atlantic Fleet across 26 years of Cold War and post-Cold War undersea operations before her decommissioning in 2007.
