USS Jason Dunham (DDG-109) is an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer commissioned in 2010, named in honor of Corporal Jason L. Dunham, USMC, who was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for covering an enemy grenade with his helmet and body to protect his fellow Marines in Husaybah, Iraq in April 2004. Homeported in Mayport, Florida, Jason Dunham stands as a living tribute to the Marine Corps' highest traditions of courage and sacrifice.
