USS Los Angeles (SSN-688) was the lead boat of the Los Angeles class of nuclear-powered fast attack submarines, commissioned on 12 November 1976 at Groton, Connecticut. Named for the city of Los Angeles, California, she served as the first of 62 submarines in her class — the largest class of nuclear submarines ever built by the United States. During her career, SSN-688 conducted Cold War patrols, exercises with allied navies, and post-Cold War deployments before being decommissioned on 23 January 2010. Carry a piece of this legendary warship's history with this durable Ship's Crest vinyl sticker.
