USS Olympia (SSN-717) was a Los Angeles-class fast attack submarine commissioned on November 17, 1984. Named for the capital city of Washington State, Olympia operated from Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and served throughout the final decade of the Cold War as a versatile multi-mission asset capable of anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, and intelligence collection operations across the vast Pacific. Los Angeles-class boats like Olympia were the backbone of the Navy's submarine force during this era, quieter and faster than earlier designs and well-suited to the demanding game of hide-and-seek played daily against Soviet submarines. Olympia was decommissioned on September 6, 1996, after twelve years of silent service. This vinyl sticker features the official ship's crest and is a durable, weatherproof tribute to the officers and crew who sailed beneath the sea aboard USS Olympia.
