Commissioned on May 12, 1984, USS Salt Lake City was a Los Angeles-class nuclear-powered attack submarine, homeported at Naval Base San Diego. She served the Navy for 22 years before decommissioning on January 15, 2006. Her crest carries the memory of every Sailor who served aboard her.
