USS Salt Lake City (SSN-716) Ship's Crest Sweatshirt

USS Salt Lake City (SSN-716) was a Los Angeles-class nuclear-powered attack submarine commissioned on January 12, 1984, and homeported at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Named for the capital city of Utah, SSN-716 operated throughout the Pacific and the broader Indo-Pacific region conducting intelligence gathering, anti-submarine warfare, and strike missions during the Cold War and post-Cold War era. Like all Los Angeles-class submarines, Salt Lake City was capable of launching Tomahawk cruise missiles and represented the backbone of American undersea warfare capability for decades. She was decommissioned in 2005 after over 21 years of service. This Ship's Crest sweatshirt honors SSN-716 and all who served in her crew.
