Commissioned on October 11, 1980, USS Samuel Eliot Morison was a Oliver Hazard Perry-class guided-missile frigate, homeported at Naval Station Charleston. She served the Navy for 22 years before decommissioning on April 10, 2002. Her crest carries the memory of every Sailor who served aboard her.
