USS Santa Fe

Commissioned in 1994, the Santa Fe is an improved 688i Los Angeles-class nuclear attack submarine named for New Mexico's ancient capital—the oldest capital city in North America, where Spanish, Native American, and American cultures have coexisted for four centuries. She has served the Pacific Fleet since commissioning, one of the longer-serving boats of the class still on active duty.
