Commissioned on April 17, 1982, USS Stephen W. Groves was a Oliver Hazard Perry-class guided-missile frigate, homeported at Naval Station Mayport. She served the Navy for 30 years before decommissioning on February 24, 2012. Her crest carries the memory of every Sailor who served aboard her.
