VA-25 Fist of the Fleet Squadron Crest Sweatshirt

Attack Squadron 25 (VA-25), the "Fist of the Fleet," flew A-1 Skyraiders and later A-7E Corsair IIs during a distinguished career centered at NAS Lemoore, California. The squadron flew extensive combat missions during the Vietnam War from USS Coral Sea and USS Midway, earning multiple combat decorations. VA-25 earned a place in aviation lore when one of its Skyraider pilots dropped a toilet bomb on North Vietnam in August 1965 during a mission from USS Midway. The squadron was disestablished in 1993.
