VA-35 Black Panthers

The Black Panthers of Attack Squadron 35 flew the A-6 Intruder for three decades as one of the Navy's premier medium attack squadrons, deploying from the East Coast and striking targets from Vietnam to Libya to Iraq. Founded in 1950, the Black Panthers flew more carrier-based strike missions across the Cold War era than nearly any other Navy squadron. Disestablished in 1995 as the A-6 era ended, their legacy lives on in every naval strike aviator who followed in their wake.
