VFA-14 Tophatters

The Tophatters of VFA-14 are the Navy's oldest continuously operating strike fighter squadron—established in 1919, they have been flying and fighting through every era of American naval aviation, from biplanes to Tomcats to the F/A-18E Super Hornet. Based at NAS Lemoore and deploying with the Pacific Fleet, the Tophatters have been part of every major conflict the Navy has fought across more than a century. A tradition that started in 1919 does not need to explain itself.
