VFA-83 Rampagers

The Rampagers of VFA-83 fly the F/A-18C Hornet from NAS Oceana, deploying with Atlantic Fleet carriers to the Mediterranean, Persian Gulf, and beyond. One of the East Coast’s most active strike fighter squadrons, the Rampagers have struck targets in every major conflict involving carrier aviation since the 1980s—from Desert Storm to Operation Iraqi Freedom to Afghanistan. The name comes from their approach to the mission: direct, aggressive, and unstoppable.
